Conclusion
and Recommendation
This was definitely an interesting research
project. When I had done initial research on Iraq and its ICT
capabilities, it seemed that Iraq was a hopeless civilization.
However, based on all of the foreign direct investments by foreign
governments, private contractors, and businesses alike, there is a huge
reconstruction effort to rebuild Iraq’s infrastructure. Over the
next several years, you will see a boom in IT jobs for Middle Eastern
citizens, as well as lot of private industries that are going to try
and bring a presence into the Middle East. As a side note, when I
complete my graduate studies at DePaul University, I will be attempting
to get into the private contractor sector that was mentioned earlier in
this research project.
