Hardware Manufacturing

Overview:

The majority economic activities are non-tech industries. There is no brand name computer plant for manufacturing. However, some of the international computer manufacturers set up the regional office in Morocco.

Compaq:

Compaq established 4th Mid-East office in Casablanca, Morocco in 1998. According to Compaq, the Compaq’s Mid-East office provides “Compaq's full range of quality products, services and solutions are delivered through its network of resellers in the region. Compaq's regional office in Jebel Ali provides marketing, sales, technical and administrative support to its marketing partners and customers.”

IBM:

The same as Compaq, IBM Morocco is also a branch office of IBM Corporation. The main function of this office is providing the technical supports as well as the customer services. IBM Morocco also provides the IT solution for the region. Recently, IBM Morocco has launched its solution for human resource management. This product allows different functions to be handled together (development, position management, recruitment) at an international level. This solution is, therefore, dedicated to multinationals that want to develop a proactive form of management for their human resources.
