Discover Chicago is part of the first-year liberal studies program at DePaul University. The theme of this section is Chicago Labor History. Its goal is to familiarize students with this rich history and its impact on Chicago's development as a city as well as on great social movements both in Chicago, the U.S. and the world. The Common Hour portions of the class are designed to address common issues of transition to DePaul and the university academic life for first-year students.
