Neki Technologies was the first company on our schedule visits on our education endeavor in Brazil. Neki was founded in 2002 by IT professionals within the local arena in conjunction with a famous with researchers and instructors from the Scientific Computational National Lab. The company was founded with the intent to provide Corporate Information System Integration initiatives as well as provide services in consulting, development and qualification in the areas of system architecture, JavaEE frameworks, production infra-structure, development processes and software quality examination.
Neki's vision for the development of Information Systems is to valorize the knowledge of the IT professional. Automated tools are useful to withdraw from humans the necessity of doing repetitive work, not to take decisions for them. However, tools for automation are essential to make possible the adoption of a process with formal control points and bring the objective information for the decision-making.
Neki uses main open source software development technologies tools to develop a majority of their customized applications and projects. Neki also provides educational and training facilities thru their Neki University Program which customizes qualification plans to meet the requirements of their customers company infra-structures, involving mentoring, courses and workshops, making your team capable of applying effectively the best practices and Open Source technologies available.
Neki also offers the infra-structure planning, solution customization, installation and software configuration, and the preparation of Digital Repository Solution, where we make use of a series of specific technical procedures to each type of content aiming to obtain the best result on the publication. Neki labels this service as CODDA.
