DePaul CDM Study Abroad December 2008 - Brazil

Mike Salvatore

B.S. in Information Systems

Framework or Role(s):

The entire experience expanded my knowledge of cultures, languages, and Information Technology operations. The food, people, and atmosphere are inviting, exciting, and full of tradition, and the scenery is truly beautiful. Despite learning about the country itself, the importance of Information Technology became more apparent. Some organizations continue to operate on obsolete forms of project management without any technical aid; this exposed the root of information systems and how technology can rapidly expedite a business's productions. IT allows for a large highway of information and data to be accessed from all around the world and can surface many business problems that may have never been discovered. Brazil is an amazing country with so much to offer to everyone and is a place that must be visited. Learning about a new culture, while studying IT outside the classroom was the most valuable experience in my college career.
