What is Physical Computing?

Physical computing is a creative framework for understanding human beings' relationship to the digital world. This can be handmade art, design, and/or DIY hobby projects that use sensors and microcontrollers to translate analog input to a software system, and/or control electro-mechanical devices such as motors, servos, lighting or other hardware.

This can encompass many different technologies and configurations. Don't let words like Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science scare you, there are many levels of physical computing and it can easily be picked up by anyone with enough interest (and maybe with some help from the lab techs.)
