My Brazil Experience The trip to Brazil was a great culture experience for me. Although, I have traveled to many countries during my lifetime, this trip was very special. I got the opportunity to learn how the country operates as for political and governmental influences. The Brazilians are a proud people to a fault; which has hurt international imports and exports. The government is very corrupted. However, the country is doing better economically than the Unites States of America. |

It's very true that Brazil lives up to its reputation for being the country of the beautiful people. However, there is a huge disparity amongst the have and the have nots. I
was also amazed how big technology is in Brazil. The country is proud
and very strict about building it's own software and Information
Technology Infrastructure. The government provide a great amount
of resources to organization who may have idea about a product without
asking for the money back in return. We visited a lot of
"incubators" or what we would call "start-up"
companies here in the United States. These organizations share
everything from physical space, human resources, administrative
services, and other internal services. What I did notice that although
the companies shared the same space, they didn't always know what the
other tenant's specialty. Language was the biggest barrier while in
Brazil. Most of the citizens there speak only Portugese and very little
English. I found it very challenging to order something to eat or to
find someone that spoke really good English. This problem is a
huge barrier for Brazil when it wants to import or export with the
United States. The night life was awesome. Although my party days seem
few and far between, the Brazilian music was my favorite along with the
beaches in Rio de Janeiro and Florianopolis. Certified Usability Analyst |
