Brazil CTI - 2007 - Global Information Technology

The trip to Brazil was the first trip to Latin America. Every country has its unique recognizable signature of experiences and Brazil was no exception. In my experience it was a country full of viberance.

Summary of the Brazil Experience

From the eclectic mix of sights and sounds coming from ever the smiling faces of Brazil, along with the colorful landscapes that composed stunning sceneries, to the diverse compilations of beats blasting on the airwaves, made for a noteworthy time.

Each of the cities we visited might as well have being worlds apart. Rio seemed to be the city that never slept. It was non-stop round the clock entertainment and a stark contrast to Floriannapolis which was a calm laid back resort style escape.

The exposure afforded first hand insight into a country I have known for many years as a technology hub open source initiatives. It was very exciting to see tetiery institutions that provided incubators for student run ideas, and in so doing spur on an entrepeneural spirit.

It is also exciting to know that developing countries like Brazil are investing their future in technology and education as an asset unto itself.
