- May 12. Reminder: the D2L Multiple Choice and the Short Essay parts of the Midterm Exam are due
today. Please submit them by 11:59 pm this evening.
- May 12. Registration is open for the Final Exam. Look on the lower right of the
D2L IT 238 class Home Page.
Please sign up as soon as possible. If you wait too long, you may not get your desired time slot.
If you are in the in-class section you should take the exam in the classroom.

- May 6. The Short Essay Portion of Midterm Exam is posted on D2L in the drop
box named Short Essay Questions. The exam questions are posted in the
Instructions of the drop box. They are due on Monday, May 12.
- May 5. There will be no practice quiz today; practice quizzes resume on Wednesday, May 7.
- May 5. The final revision of the Midterm Study Guide is posted.
The Short Essay portion of the midterm opens tomorrow (Tuesday) at noon. Find
the Short Essay questions at the ShortEssay dropbox. The D2L Midterm opens
Friday at noon; find it under Submissions >> D2L Midterm.
- Apr 29. Reminder: if you are in the async section, you must submit one study log every week to
obtain credit for attendance. Study logs are subject to late penalties.
- Apr 9. Your submission for Project 1a should obtain its input from a prompt box and
send its output to an alert box or use the document.writeln method. Do not submit
Project 1b (input from input element and output in a paragraph) instead of Project 1a.
25% deduction if you submit Project 1b instead of Project 1a.
- Apr 7. The dates and times are posted for the midterm and final exams.
- Apr 7. Project 0 is due tomorrow on April 8.
- Apr 5. Each quarter, the university asks instructors to submit a list of no-shows during the
second week of class. You get off of the no-show list either by attending class in-person or via Zoom
on Monday, Mar 31, or Wednesday, Mar 2. If you are in the async section, you can obtain credit for attendance
by submitting a study log to the StudyLogs dropbox. You can also get off of the no-show list by submitting
a document to the AttendanceVerification dropbox stating that you wish to remain in the class. If you did
not attend class last synchronously last week, submit a study log for last week or a document to the
AttendanceVerification dropbox by Tuesday, Apr 8.
- Mar 31. The first class meeting of IT 238 is in Room CDM 222 at 11:50 AM on March 31. This class meeting is
synchronous in person or via Zoom.

and JavaScript files for this class.

- Mar 31. Practice quizzes count 10% of your grade.
Students in the synchronous section will take the practice quizzes in class. Asynchronous
students will have ten days after the practice quiz is taken in class to take
the quiz.
- Mar 31. The discussion forum ClassDiscussion is available on D2L for students to post and answer questions
related to the class for Attendance extra credit.
- Mar 31. The deadline to drop this course with full
tuition refund and no W grade on transcript: Friday, Apr 11 at 11:59 pm.
- Mar 31. Set the Microsoft Explorer on your Windows PC to show file extensions:
Invoke the Windows 10 File Explorer by selecting Start,
All Programs, Accessories, and Windows Explorer.
From the File Explorer, select the main menu item Tools, check the box File name
extensions
Mac and Unix do not have official file extensions.
