Guidelines for IT 130 Project Submissions
- Keep backup copies of all assignments. The late penalty will
not be waived if you lose an assignment.
- Submitted files must have standardized names.   Project files
must contain the project name and your name.
The file extension must be .txt or .doc. Here is an example submitted file:
proj7-smith.doc
- Some projects must be uploaded to the
students server. These projects must consist of
.htm and image files uploaded to the correct directory.
- After the project is uploaded, you must also submit a
URL to the uploaded page in a comment on the
Course Online Assignment Submission System (COL).
- The website plan should not be uploaded. The name of its
submission file is website-plan-smith.doc.
- There is a maximum penalty of 10% for submissions that do not
follow the naming convention.
- Submitted files must a header. Submitted files must contain
a header with your name, the name of the project
and the submission date at the top. To submit uploaded webpages, merely
submit a link containing the URL as a comment in COL.
- There is a maximum penalty of 10% for submissions that do
not include the name, project name, and
submission date at the top of the document.
- There is a maximum penalty of 10% for submitted links that
do not work.
- Submit assignment on COL at
http://col.cti.depaul.edu:
- Use your campus connect username and password to log on.
- Select the course The Internet and Web (IT 130).
- Select Submit Assignments on the left.
- Browse to find the file to submit.
- Press Submit File.
- Check your submission. Double check that you have submitted
the correct document or link and that COL has accepted it.
