This will be a first course in programming. It begins meeting at 5:45pm on Tuesday, September 15th, in room 226 of the CS&T Center. From the outset, I will assume that students have very little to no experience programming. If you do have experience, you should consider taking CSC 225.
You will be submitting your assignments using the World Wide Web. For that to work, you need to activate your shrike account. Every student receives a free student e-mail account on shrike.depaul.edu. Make certain yours is activated and that you read e-mail there regularly.

It is now next week. Among other items, I've posted course specifics and instructions on using the Visual C++ compiler. The first assignment will be posted soon.
During the first class, I will discuss the three programs currently listed on the programs page. If you'd like, print them out and bring them with you. I will not be providing handouts. In fact, the only printed documents you will receive from me will be the in-class exams. Everything else is on the web.

The computer that takes submissions is down. It won't be back up until Monday morning. If you haven't submitted the loan programs (either by submitting before Friday or by sending e-mail), hang on to them and submit Monday.
