Kokikai Aikido

I teach Kokikai Aikido, a self-defense art that uses throws and pins, at the Kokikai Aikido club of the University of Chicago.  I have also taught at Kokikai Aikido of Chicago.

I founded the Victoria Kokikai Society in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, in September 1997 and taught there until 2002 when I moved to Chicago.

Music

Chicago bands I like: The Changes, Chin Up Chin Up, The Dials, New Black, and Paper Airplane Pilots.

Silent Film

I'm a silent film fan and a member of the Silent Film Society of Chicago.  Other silent film sites are Silent Era, Silents Are Golden, and Silent Movies.  I have been a member of the Chicago Art Deco Society.
