Scatterplots

Scatterplots show the relationship between two paired variables. Each pairing should come from the same individual (aka observation).

Data sets with paired variables

• Data collected during a Web navigation study: number of clicks and the time needed to find the requested item in a Web site.
• Data from IT 223 Winter quarter: final homework scores and score on the final exam.
• Usability data: usage errors and users' subjective rating of usability (based on a questionnaire).
• File transfer data: size (MB) and time needed for download (seconds).
• Course evaluation data: student rating of instructor and number of responses
