Small Project #6

Providing Keyword Search to Your Content

Due Tuesday November 11 at class time

Consider the possible value of adding a keyword search facility to the content you are organizing for the large project. What would be the best features to use? Should it cover your entire structure? or just a targeted subset? Should its design be a simple search box? or should it provide the user with options specific to your content? Finally, what would be the best way to present the summary of matches?

After considering these issues and those discussed in chapter 8 and in class, present an argument for or against the addition of adding keyword search to your content.

Your report need only be a few paragraphs in length. You may choose to add a design showing the search interface and an example of how search results would be displayed.

You may complete this project individually or with the group members for your large project.

Submission

Before class time of the due time, have your report printed out and ready to turn in.

Be prepared to discuss your results in class.
