· The user scans the buttons to see if Pepsi is one of the items.

· The vending machine shows buttons with labels showing what is available.

· The user must recognize the buttons and understand that the labels for them indicate what is available.

Possible answers to questions for “Retrieve Bottle”

· The user reaches for the dispenser to get bottle.

· The machine makes the sounds of a bottle dropping.

· The user must recognize that a bottle is dropping and expect it to appear in the dispenser.

Note that the whiteboard was used later in the class. At first, the image doesn’t appear, but then I drew the image again.
