Final Exam

The exam is worth 50 points (25% of class grade). I write the exam with the expectation that it can be completed in 90 minutes, but anyone may use up to 150 minutes to complete it.

Coverage

The coverage is comprehensive but topics discussed since the midterm exam will receive more emphasis. The web pages provide an outline of these topics. The exercises in the book are excellent study questions. As with the midterm, I may choose a few exercises for test questions.

Format

Be prepared to explain strengths, weaknesses and appropriateness of the various principles and methods discussed and used in class.

Know the phases of the User-centered design process. Know principles and methods for conducting the phases. Particular emphasis will be placed on the phases conducted for the class projects.

DL students may choose to take this exam in class on Wednesday October 15. All DL students must take the exam by Tuesday November 21.

Team Evaluation Forms

Attached to the final exam will be team evaluation forms. Here is an example form posted from the course syllabus. You are requested to complete a form for each of your team members. You may also provide a statement summarizing your contributions to the team projects.

If you prefer, you may print out the blank forms and complete them in advance. Turn in your completed forms when you turn in your exam.
